I spoke in all of my post about the oppression and the objectification of females in our society. Through surface analysis of music videos, I found very obvious messages that are meant to treat women as objects of desire and use. Music revolves around selling the female body. Products are sold by using the female body as if that image is what is being sold and not the actual product.

Now I would like to point out ways in which women and feminists have attempted to change those ideas. Some of you might have already looked and heard of Beyonce's popular "Run the World".


Female empowerment in this song is what Beyonce asks for. I don't get a sense of actual running the world. I think she wrote this song with the purpose of letting women know that they have power to get any and they can use it. To run the world. Or simply gain their rights.

This next video is a bit more about the roles of females and males. "It's about time for a change" she says. But in her image of a change women get to what men do now,and men get to be placed in the females position.
