This time it's the second edition featuring Big Bang only. Yet, despite lacking any girl group power, this song might just be catchier than the first. (But this is easily disputed - don't kill me, Blackjacks!) However, what's a bit funny about it is that the lyrics can be taken in a very sexual manner, although I'm SURE they had the purest of intentions when writing the song (can you sexualize a phone?). No matter what was meant, the truth is that this song still feels a little bit dirty. But that's okay, because they're making faces and dancing cutely, right?
Especially rapper TOP, whose voice is most prominent in the chorus (the guy in the glasses). Considering I practically stan him, I've seen quite a few of his adorable faces in my time, but there are definitely still some gems in here. And that dancing! All of the members add their own smooth dances, but TOP's are probably the goofiest.
Okay so enough about TOP. There's one thing in this video that I don't get. I know I shouldn't expect much out of English lyrics in Korean songs, but what exactly does, "I could double D from double B," mean? Perhaps TOP could be talking about being a terrible student and lowering his grades from B's to D's. Or perhaps he's talking about lady bits. Really, how sexual do you think Big Bang could get in a phone advert? If we were to analyze each and every lyric in the song (even the Korean), I'd say the sky's the limit.
I think the funniest part about this is that they didn't even use anything but the chorus for the actual phone commercial. Go figure!
